Overview
Medici is an NFT exchange platform. Their main focus is offering customizable contracts and simple but expressive interfaces for artists to interact with their audience. We collaborated with the founders to design a gallery-like experience for their MVP.
Goals
- Design a digital experience similar to visiting an art gallery rather than an eCommerce website.
- Streamline the NFT launching user flow.
- Create a visual language that is hip and trendy.
Challenge
The challenge was to create an experience that combined two contrasting approaches. A typical eCommerce marketplace with a primary focus on purchasing and an art gallery that puts the art and what it represents at the top.
Solution
We created a customizable browsing experience for users to select based on their interests and preferences. With a switch's help, users can browse using a more familiar marketplace layout or a full gallery-like layout focused on the art and the artist.
